[The darkness is so nice, it's even more comfortable than the blankets that she's tucked around her body.]

Of course. I could never forget the faces of my father and mother...especially when she's scolding. Save for holidays I do not get to see them often back home either...so while it is anything but ideal, I'm somewhat used to remembering them from memory, letters and photographs.
[It's partially reassuring. Maybe she's just stressed, and that's why she's having trouble remembering.]

[She feels a little upset by the knowledge, but she knows there was no ill intent behind it. She's mostly just embarrassed to hear that so many people know now. The blanket is pulled up a little tighter around her chin.]

[Standing he moves to leave, stepping out of the room quietly. While getting on his coat and readying himself to head home, he pauses, only to pluck a single gardenia flower from an arrangement - secret love - to sneak back in while she was sound asleep to set it on the end of her bed. She would find it come morning, surely, and would probably yell at him for it, but he couldn't help himself.
With that he let himself out, hurrying home to his sister who was surely waiting for him.]
